- NA Continued operation of the Airborne Surveillance Testbed (AST) for planning, characterization, testing, data collection, data reduction and analysis which support resolution of critical ballistic missile defense issues and the possible AST program closeou t. Period of performance is 1 Oct 02 through 31 Dec 02, with options for remaining quarters of FY03. Intended Source: The Boeing Company, P.O. Box 3999, Seattle, WA 98124. Award to other than current source would result in substantial duplication of cost t o the government and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements (FAR 6.302-1). Boeing designed, developed, and fabricated the AST System equipment and owns the aircraft on which it is installed. Boeing has performed the follow-on contracts for data collection. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. This acquisition is not open to Allied participation. See Note: 22.
