- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for an integrated system capable of producing up to 1 kilogram per hour of high purity nano powders. 1) The equipment must be versatile enough to produce a variety of nano powders including metals, ceramics, and composites in an economical and highly repeatable fashion. 2) It must produce these powders with a narrow particle size distribution, and with little or no agglomeration of the particles. 3) It must also have the capability for on-line passivation of the powders for their safe handling. 4) It must use a computer interface and be highly controllable. 5) The system will consist of a reaction/synthesis chamber,on-line passivation system, and powder collection system. 6) The system must also have the ability to be upgraded. The possible upgrades in capability would include powder spheriodization and densification, spray deposition, and on-line surface modification. Interested companies which feel they can supply a piece of equipment that will meet these requirements should provide specifications, brochures, and/or drawings within two weeks of this notice to US Army TACOM-ARDEC, ATTN: Dr. Deepak Kapoor, AMSTA-AR-WEA, Bldg. 355, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806.
