- Solicitation No. FSIS-10A-B-02 is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) developed a character, named Thermy(TM), the messenger of a national food safety education campaign for consumers. The Thermy(TM) character is both copyrighted and trademarked by the USDA. USDA, FSIS has a requirement to develop and provide a talking figure. The figure will be between 6 to 10 inches tall, made of fabric (plush) material that is cleanable, stain-resistant, and flexible. The Thermy(TM) message shall be sewn on the back of the figure. The figure shall have voice activation upon pressure that features Thermy(TM)?s message. The figure shall have a hangtag/booklet with the Thermy(TM) message written out. The Government intends to purchase a amount NTE $20,000.00 during the base year of the contract. Delivery for the figures is FOB Destination to Washington, DC. The Government intends to make a single award, Requirements contract with a minimum purchase NTE $20,000 for fiscal year 2002. The award will include three one-year option periods. The contract shall provide pricing per unit on a fixed-price basis. This requirement is a small business set-aside. The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available at this website 15 days after the Posted Date. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking this website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued.
