Description

The purpose of this Solicitation is for the installation of a single-stage elevator at the Timberline Lodge. This includes al related architectural, mechanical and electrical work for the elevator; the upper and lower lobbies, modifications and relocation of locker room and restroom; and modifications to the hallway accessing the upper lobby. Site work includes installation of concrete entry slab with snowmelt coils, catch basin and drain piping and trenching. Timberline Lodge is an historic structure, currently in use as a resort, located at the 6,000-foot level on Mt. Hood in the State of Oregon, Clackamas County. The facility is owned by the USDA Forest Service, Region 6, Mt. Hood National Forest, Zig Zag Ranger District. It is operated under permit by RLK and Company. A Pre-proposal meeting will be conducted on-site on May 15, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. The Government's Estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000. Bonding is required as follows: Bid-20%; Performance-100%, and Payment-100%. The estimated Start Work Date is July 1, 2002, with 120 Calendar Day completion time. The NAICS Code is 235950. Documents will be available at this website only on approximately April 30, 2002.
