- Description
- The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (DHHS), through the Program Support Center, intends to negotiate a sole-source award with the One Church-One Addict Baltimore, MD 21203 Purpose: Substance use leading to serious behavioral and/or health problems continues to be commonplace in all communities, and the prevalence of illicit drug use today is higher in the United States than in any other industrialized society. Data from the 1999 National Household Survey on Drug Abuse indicate that 14.8 million Americans use illicit drugs. The purpose of this procurement is to secure technical assistance training focusing on best treatment, prevention and recovery support practices, HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, grant writing and program evaluation. These technical assistance events shall take place in Baltimore, Maryland. THE PROPOSED SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS WITHIN 7 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO COMPETE THIS PROPOSED SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL NORMALLY BE CONSIDERED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT.
