Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in sub-part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) Solicitation F02601-01-T0200 is being issued as a request for quotation. (III) This solicitation incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. (IV) This requirement is being synopsized as a small business set-aside under North American industry classification system code 334514, standard industrial classification code 3829, size standard 500 employees. EQUIPMENT TO BE ACQUIRED: (V) 1 EACH: TempCal Tester used to perform required operational checks of the 215, 300 and 700 degree over-heat temperature probes for EC-130 aircraft. 2 Each: Heater Probes 215 degree, 300 degree and 700 degree switch. NOTE: These items are intended to be acquired from a sole source vendor. The company that has met the specifications has been previously found to be the only company to provide this product. Additionally, the savings to the Air Force when purchased from this company when previously competed was significant. The government reserves the right to award to the ?other than low? offeror, if it is in the Government?s best interest. (VIII) Provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items applies. (X) Offerors are required to submit a completed copy of 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items with its offer. (XI) Clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items and any addenda the clause applies to this acquisition. (XII) Clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Require to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to the award document. (XVI) Quotations are due to the 355th Contracting Squadron, 3180 S. Craycroft Rd. Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ 85707, by 12 April 2002, 4 p.m. local time. Arrange this with the POCs listed in XVII.
