- Supply/Service class: J099. Hill AFB proposes to procure the following: Contractor to design, develop, acquire, integrate, deliver and install at Hill AFB in Bldg 100 a BAKE, FILL AND EVACUATE (BFE) STATION replacement. P/N: 2312B84G01. System to include all hardware, software support equipment, integration, maintenance support and data necessary for delivery and final acceptance at Hill AFB. Contractor to look at current BFE station to see if any pieces can be used in the new system. System must be supportable to FY2020. Contractor to use commercial-off-the-shelf, state-of-the-art hardware to the maximum extent possible. Contractor shall supply, integrate, assemble and test all elements of the BFE replacement hardware/software for compatibility and conformance to applicable performance specifications, including the test set, cable harnesses and all other components required. Demonstration of conformance and successful completion shall be at the CONTRACTOR?S facility. Contractor to prepare a program schedule and shall report schedule status, hold technical interchange meetings, support in-process reviews. Shall deliver level III engineering data for all new peculiar equipment. Provide develop and provide redline changes to existing T.O.s. Contractor to conduct on-site training to Hill AFB personnel seven days after final acceptance of the machine with optional training. Requirement has an option to purchase one (1) additional system. Issue date: 11 Apr 2002. Anticipated award date: 15 Aug 2002. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
