Description
The Social Security Administration is seeking interested small business sources to transcribe large volumes of Agency hearings specifically courtroom proceedings from standard analog cassette tapes (C-60 and C-90) and digital audio recordings using 4-channel recording technology. The contractor is required to have compatible transcribing equipment for both 2 and 4-track equipment. Contractor shall be required to furnish all necessary personnel, materials, services, facilities and equipment to perform all tasks necessary to the performance of transcription typing services; which encompasses responsibility for quick turnaround times, accountability, quality control review procedures, and pickup/delivery services. The entire text of the hearing must be transcribed verbatim in accordance with Government supplied samples of hearing transcripts. It is essential that the wording of the statements made at the hearing not be altered for any reason (such as to correct the grammar or clarify meaning). This is an information gathering effort only and if further procurement action is taken, additional publication(s) will be done as required. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any evaluation made from the information submitted. No award will be made based on this synopsis. The information received will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. Requests for copies of a solicitation and/or telephone calls will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government will not pay for information received. Interested firms who believe they are able to provide the required services are invited to submit information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to provide the required capabilities. No cost of pricing data is required or requested. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 561410. Standard size is $6 million.
