- Description
- Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC HENRY BLAKE (WLM 563) 175? Buoy Tender, homeported in Everett, Washington. All work shall be performed at the contractor?s facilities, during the period of 08 May 2002 and complete 02 July 2002. . Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 01/30/02. Bidders are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, appendage (U/W) leak test, hull plating, u/w body ultrasonic test, u/w inspection, modify waster pieces in port/starboard sea chests, auxiliary seawater system piping modification, fathometer transducers sqn-13 general maintenance, sea strainer overhaul, chain inhaul device and chain winch level 2 inspect and repairs, cross deck winches level 2, inspection and repair, allied single point davit inspection and test, level 2, hydraulic flush buoy deck machinery systems, buoy decks (exterior) preserve, 100%, cathodic protection/zinc anode renewal, temporary services. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
