- Description
- The project consists of furnishing and installing all materials, equipment, and labor required to remove 17 existing metal culverts and install 17 new fish passage structures including slab bridges, bottomless arches, round and pipe arch culverts, retrofit weirs. Work includes excavation, clearing and grubbing, backfilling, regrading streams, ripraping, weir installation, compaction, construction of outlet pool and outlet control structures, and creating natural stream structures within the culvert and streambed on FDR 6317, 6319, 6031, 6032, and 6323 located on the Portage Bay road system on the north end of Kupreanof Island, Southeast Alaska. Portage Bay is located approximately 30 km northwest of Petersburg, Alaska and is accessible only by floatplane or boat. The estimated price range is $250,000 - $500,000. The contract time is 120 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps web site on or about April 26, 2002 for viewing and printing.
