Description

The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST)has a requirement for miscellaneous laser optics and optomechanics. These items include 5100, 5150, 5101, 5151 mirrors; 5811 beam-splitting polarizer cubes; 9411 prism mounts; 9891 flipper mirrors, 9071 four axis tilt aligners and 2007 Nirvana receiver. These items will be compatible with existing ones in our laboratories. It is the intent of the Government to award this procurement on a sole source basis under authority of 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) with New Focus of San Jose, Ca. This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (NTE $100,000). This synopsis is issued for information only. No competitive solicitation is planned. No award will be made on the basis of requests in response to this notice. Terms & Conditions and agency level protest procedures can be found on web site http://oamweb.osec.doc.gov/conops/#REFERENCEInformation submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement. These are the complete specifications and no RFQ is available. All technical questions shall be addressed to Dietrich Leibfried of NIST at 303 497-7880. This RFQ will expire April 27, 2002.
