- Sources Sought: Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane, Washington is seeking interested service providers to provide furniture management services for dormitory accommodations, over-night lodging accommodations, some classroom and some office furniture. Currently Fairchild AFB owns all existing furniture, much of which is less than three years old. Historically, Fairchild has procured furniture in-house, then managed the inventory, on-base storage, movement, use, repair, and disposition with a service contract using NAICS code 493110, 493190, and 532490. Fairchilds top priorities are quality of life for our Air Force members and affordability/life-cycle cost reduction. Fairchild AFB will consider any solution to furniture management including Fairchild or contractor owned furniture; Fairchild or contractor disposal and replacement, Fairchild or contractor storage and all other available options for solutions. Service start date is 1 October 2002 and will last for up to five years. Fairchild AFB contracting office and housing management office will provide any information the contractor needs to formulate an affordable solution that meets the quality of life needs of our Air Force Airmen. If you are not interested, but can suggest other sources or service sectors to consider, please respond with that information. It will help us tremendously. Interested contractors may reply by email with the following information by 1 May 2002: Company name, Salesperson or other point of contact, Address and phone number, Business size status (i.e. HubZone, Small Business, 8a, Woman owned, etc), Brief description of services provided including marketing/sales brochures, List of information you require in order to prepare a complimentary proposal, brief, or presentation of a technical and cost solution so we can prepare the information for the request for proposals and how much time you require to make prepare your submission. Fairchild AFB will issue a request for proposal (RFP) on approximately 15 May 2002. Interested contractors will be invited to Fairchild AFB in the RFP for a non-mandatory site visit at that time.
