Description
NA US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center-Washington, on behalf of the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Joint Project Office (JPO) proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis with General Dynamics Decision Systems in Scottsda le, Arizona, the development of specific cryptographic algorithms and equipment emulations necessary to support the operation of radios using the AIM Chip developed by General Dynamics Corporation. The resultant contract will be cost plus fixed price. It has been determined that GDDS is the ?Only One Responsible Source and no other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements?. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1); Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. However, all responsible sources that can provide supporting data to demonstrate they can successfully provided the required AIM chip algorithms may submit a quote that shall be considered b y the agency. Responses shall be no longer than five (5) pages and provided in Microsoft Word 2000 format. Responses shall be submitted via email to peggy.melanson@saalt.army.mil within 30 calendar days of the date of this notice. The email subject line should include the phrase ?DAAB15-02-R-0027, AIM Chip Algorithm Development?. All requests for further information must be in writing and via email to the above address, telephone requests for additional information will not be honored. Acknowledgement o f receipt will be issued. See Numbered Note 22.
