- Description
- NASA/SSC plans to issue a RFO for the following: The pickup from NASA/Stennis Space Center (NASA/SSC), the inspection, cleaning, testing, and return to Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, High Pressure Gas Facility, two (2)fifteen (15) tube, gas trailers designated as TT-216-HE (91-3) & TT-217-HE (91-1). Each trailer consists of 15, DOT 3AAX tubes, 6,000 psig, 10.75-inch OD, 34'-4" feet long. Each cylinder on both trailers were DOT certified by Western Sales and Testing of Amarillo, TX in September of 2001. Offerors shall provide their proposed inspection, cleaning, testing, and cost milestones for accomplishing the work in their offers. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 333924 and 500, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO are those in effect through FAC 01-6. The Statement of Work will be included in the solicitation document. Period of performance shall be four (4) weeks after award. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about April 16, 2002 with a offer due date of April 30, 2002. Technical questions must be received by the point of contact on or before April 23, 2002. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/SSC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=64 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
