- NA PROJECT TITLE: Depot Maintenance Hangar ? Phase IA LOCATION: USAF, Hill AFB UT This Procurement will be conducted under FSC Code: Y199, SIC Code: 1541, NAICS Code: 233310. JOB DESCRIPTION: The work consists of the design and construction of a new 1-story, approximately 4,800 SM C-130 depot level maintenance aircraft facility for capacity of 3 aircraft?unfueled and purged. No demolition of structures is anticipated. This h angar represents the first phase of a proposed 6-bay hangar under a single roof. In addition, the work includes new PCC aircraft apron and an asphalt overlay and installation of airfield lighting and signage on an existing taxiway. Also, the work will in clude a new electrical sub-station and service. The hangar will include maintenance space for 2 nose-first and 1 tail-first C-130 aircraft. Interior clear height required is an 18.3 meters. Functions included are aircraft maintenance, parts storage, col located sheet metal ship, administration, and break areas/restrooms. The project site for the hangar sets within the airfield security fence line. The fence line near the project site will need to be realigned and POV parking and utility systems installe d. The site for the electrical sub-station sets outside the airfield security fence line. The structure will be permanent construction and include clay masonry unit and structural steel wall and frame along with standing-seam metal roof systems. All ele ctronic systems designed and installed must be Year-2000 and beyond compliant. The project includes development of design deliverables for review (2 to 3 submittals plus back check processes), sustainable design using SPiRiT rating system (Green Building Council), anti-terrorism/force protection (will be met by compliance with the RFP requirements), design deliverables for construction, grading, relocation/protection of utilities, utility service connections and runs, fire-protection/life safety systems, h andicapped accessible, EMCS, HVAC, all necessary conduits and cabling (with the exception of exterior COMM cabling), plumbing, mechanical systems, interior utilities, interior/exterior finishes, exterior security lighting, parking (employees and patrons) l andscape and irrigation system, signage, and all necessary features (interior and exterior) to yield a safe, complete and useable facility for its intended use. TYPE OF AWARD: This RFP is Unrestricted and all businesses may respond. All contractor proposals are due in not later than 07 Jun 02/3:00 pm. Any future amendments to the solicitation will also be avai lable for download from this web site. Requests for copies of this solicitation in any other format than what is advertised will be disregarded. It is important that you first go to this web site and under contract division home page, click on the advert ised solicitation you are interested in. Go to plan holders registration. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on plan holders lists. With our new system you only have to do the full registration one time. If you have your user name and password, you can always go back into the system and register for other jobs without having to go through the entire registration process. However, you can only do this by using your initial user name and password. From there click on Sacramento District, then it will take you to a list of advertised solicitations and then from there cli ck on the desired solicitation number. And at the bottom of this page, there is a bar that says download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specs from the drop down box and press go button. This will take you to the next page, then from there clic k on the file name and download. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. Please note that all contractors and potential contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database, effective 31 May 1998.
