- Description
- The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) intends to solicit proposals for a single award Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC). The IQC will have a period of performance of five-years (consisting of a two-year base with three one-year options). The types of task orders under the IQC will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), or Cost Reimbursement (CR). USAID will award one contract under a Total Small Businesses set aside. The anticipated estimated cost over the five-year period shall not exceed $1,500,000. The purpose of the resulting contract is to support the OTI in managing a variety of projects. The contractors tasks shall consist of but not be limited to facilitation; monitoring and evaluation; multi-media projects; logistics; event planning; office-wide retreats; orientations and training events; assessing, monitoring and evaluating country programs; managing projects related to strategic planning, technology and information dissemination; and providing technical assistance to OTI country programs or specific sectors, such as conflict prevention and media; and other tasks as needed. As a link to the rest of the Agency and outside organizations, the OTIs projects may also include co-sponsorship of conferences and workshops. The contractor will act as a liaison for executing these conferences and workshops. The organization must be adequately staffed and have access to skilled personnel. The required response time after the task order is issued may range from 72 hours to one month. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or around May 1, 2002. The preferred method of distributing the USAID Procurement information will be through Federal Business Opportunities. It is the responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation to ensure that it has been received from the internet in its entirety and USAID bears no responsibility for errors resulting from transmission or conversion process.
