- Description
- The United States Marine Corps is seeking information on commercial industry?s capability of performing a remanufacture of the Koehring 7 1/2 Ton Rough Terrain Crane in order to extend its service life. Current requirements call for the remanufacture of 84 Cranes annually beginning in Fiscal Year 2004, with current assets totaling 167. This remanufacture must meet or exceed Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) specifications. Remanufacture must include disassembly, repair, overhaul, parts replacement and upgrades. Crane components such as engines, booms, transmissions and axles must be disassembled, inspected and reassembled to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Interested vendors must have the capability of shipping to/from and supporting this equipment in Pacific Rim locations such as Japan, Okinawa and Hawaii. Additionally, interested vendors must be capable of providing, at a minimum, an 18 month unlimited warranty and must be capable of supporting this asset after remanufacture. Interested companies who possess these capabilities are requested to submit, at a minimum, a Capability Statement and commercial brochures no later than 31 May 2002.
