Requests should include the company name, address, and solicitation number(s). The contract specialist will not be able to provide copies of the solicitation. This solicitation is in accordance with Military Specification MIL-C-9177 dated 30 Apr 81 and Amendment 3 dated 24 Jan 00; Type Number: M9177/5-2; Spec/Slash Sheet: MIL-C-9177/5B dated 12 Sept 88; QPL-9177-10 dated 10 Jan 00; approved QPL source: Nexus (28986). It will close on or about 3 Jun 02. This solicitation is for an IQC with NSN 5999-01-333-3149. Description: Connector-Switch. Notes 9, 23 and 26 applies. Full and open competition applies: Military Specification Item (1T). Copies of federal, military and commercial specifications cannot be provided by DSCC, however, copies of Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, Qualified Product Lists and Military Handbooks may be obtained from Commanding Officer, Naval Publications and Forms Center (NPFC), 5801 Tabor Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19120. Urgent requests may be submitted by telex--834295, Western Union--710-670-3321. However, it is preferred that private industry use a simplified order form, DD Form 1425, which includes a self-addressed label. Once a customer orders documents, MPFC will automatically provide the customer with sufficient blank forms to continue ordering in the preferred manner. Patterns, Drawings, Deviations Lists Purchase Descriptions, etc., are not stocked at NPFC. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the Government. The total extension shall not exceed 3 years. This is an unrestricted acquisition. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award may be as described in this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation as applicable, which if timely received will be considered by the agency.
