- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), San Diego intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract to provide operation and maintenance of Navy communication systems. Sites include Naval Radio Transmitter Facility (NRTF) Barrigada, SATCOM Guam, Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Guam Technical Control Facility, NCTS Guam Messaging Facility, and NCTS Guam Calibration Laboratory. Top Secret and COMSEC security clearances are required. This requirement is a follow-on effort to Contract N00244-99-C-0044 for the O&M services at NRTF Barrigada, SATCOM Facility Guam, and NCTS Guam Technical Control Facility. This follow-on effort includes additional requirements for the operation and maintenance of NCTS Guam Communications-Electronics Equipment maintenance and repair, NCTS Guam calibration Laboratory, and NCTS Guam Message center, Fleet Center, an d DMS. Performance is estimated to begin 01 November 2002 at NRTF Barrigada, SATCOM Facility Guam, and NCTS Guam Technical Control Facility with a 30-day phase in period and full performance starting 01 December 2002. Performance at NCTS Guam Communications-Electronic Equipment Maintenance and Repair and NCTS Guam Calibration Laboratory is estimated to begin 01 November 2002 with a 60-day phase-in period and full performance starting 01 January 2003. Performance for operation and maintenance of NCTS Guam message center, fleet center, and DMS is estimated to begin 01 April 2003 with a 90-day phase-in period with full performance starting 01 July 2003. Contract performance will be for a base period and three option years. This procurement is unrestricted. NAICS code 541330 applies. The solicitation issuance date is anticipated to be on or about May 08, 2002 with an estimated solicitation closing date of June 11, 2002. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web site at http://www.neco.navy.mil. No hard copies of the solicitation or amendments will be issued. It is the responsibility of interested parties to frequently monitor this web site for updates and new listings. A site visit for Solicitation N00244-02-R-0038 will be held May 03, 2002. The schedule is as follows: 9:00AM Naval Radio Transmitting Facility (NRTF) Barrigada, 12:30PM SATCOM Facility Guam, and 3:00PM Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Guam to include calibration laboratory, message center, fleet center, and DMS. Reservations are required.
