Description
NASA/SSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for three (3)copies of, Socet Set Software License for: Core, Stereo Visualization, Block Triangulation, Auto Terrain Extraction, Terrain Analysis, 3D Feature Extraction, Line of Sight Analysis, DOQ, and Pan; and one (1) copy of: Auto Point Measurement, True Ortho, Ortho-Mosaic, Layer Mosaic, Image Map, Perspective Scenes, LandSat, SPOT, Openflight I/F, and Developer's Kit. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. NASA/SSC Office of Procurement intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price order to BAE Systems of San Diego, California under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide the required license upgrade entitlements in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. local time on May 2, 2002. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
