Description
This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis of items manufactured by Trivec-Avant Corporation, 17831 Jamestown Lane, Huntington CA 92647. The items to be purchased are 27 EA Vehicle Satellite Antennas manufactured by Trivec-Avant Corp. Performance Requirements: (1) Antennas must have a non-permanent mounting system allowing for quick mounting and removing (such as a magnetic base). The purpose of this requirement is to allow for quick transfer of the antenna between multiple vehicles with out causing the user to attach the antenna to the vehicle with traditional permanent (example: nuts and bolts) or non-permanent modifications (example: Velcro). (2) Antennas must allow for reliable communications between a standard military man-portable satellite transceiver with out amplifier and a military UHF satellite (frequency range is 225-400Mhz) while the antenna is moving on its mounted vehicle. This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order/contract to Trivec-Avant Corporation, 17831 Jamestown Lane, Huntington CA 92647. Offerors who can furnish items with the same salient characteristics as listed above may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, pictures, etc... to include pricing data / information (FOB Destination). All responses must be received to the Contracting Officer by 3 MAY 2002. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered non-responsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result to analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed with resulting in award under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this synopsis will be considered if the action is competed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside for NAICS code 334220 with a standard of 750 employees.
