CHANGE TO PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: THE REGIONAL AND CONTRACTING OFFICER FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO REGION IS ANNOUNCING THAT THE DATE OF ISSUANCE FOR THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE SACRAMENTO JOB CORPS PROCUREMENT WILL BE DELAYED UNTIL TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2002. PLEASE LOOK FOR THE RFP ON THE WEBSITE LISTED BELOW ON THAT DATE. ALL OTHER DATES SET FORTH IN THE PRESOLICIATION NOTICE BELOW REMAIN UNCHANGED. ORIGINAL PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Request for Proposal number VI-02-01 for continued operation of the Sacramento Job Corps Center located at 3100 Meadowview Road, in Sacramento, California, 95832, will be made available on April 19, 2002 by written request to agency, or on the acquisition home page: http://www.wdsc.org/jobcorps. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16 and 24. The successful offeror will manage and operate a government owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, outreach, admission, career development and career transition services, and health care services in accordance with the applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations. Copies of DOL/Job Corps regulations are available at the above-mentioned web site. The contract capacity is for 132 residential males, 132 residential females, 74 non-residential males and 74 non-residential females, for a total capacity of 412 trainee participants. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a performance based costs plus incentive fee contract for a two base year period from March 1, 2003 to February 28, 2005, plus three performance based options of one year each. A Pre-Proposal Conference will convene at the center on May 2, 2002 at 9:30 a.m., local time, starting with a walk through of the facility, followed immediately by the conference. The proposal will consist of a written submission in accordance with Section L of the RFP. It is recommended that interested parties download the RFP prior to attending the Pre-Proposal Conference. All questions related to the procurement shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer after the Pre-Proposal Conference. Proposals are due no later than June 19, 2002, 5:00 p.m. D.P.T. and will be received at: U.S. Department of Labor E.T.A., Office of the Job Corps 71 Stevenson Street, Suite 1015 San Francisco, CA 94105 Attn: Jacqueline G. Roberts, Contracting Officer. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
