Description
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs including, but not limited to the following base and option items: (1) Hydro-Blast Clean Sewage Piping System, (2) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection Tanks, (3) Repair Potable Water Tanks, (4) Clean the #1 and #2 SSDG and renew bearings in-place, (5) Change out Fuel Oil Valves, (6) Composite Labor and (7) Travel and Per Diem. The vessel is a 100-foot Inland Buoy Tender, which is 100? in length and 24? in width. The vessels homepier is located in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The place of performance for this vessel?s will be the vessel?s homepier. The performance period will be 35 calendar days with a start date on or about 12 August 2002. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Drawings are available on CD-ROM, free of charge to contractors. However, a non-refundable charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for printed copies of the drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 E. Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Funds are available for this procurement. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about May 6, 2002. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises DBEs. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
