Description
NA The Corps of Engineers, New England District plans to construct Contract #2 for the Lebanon, NH Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) Project over two construction seasons beginning during the late summer of 2002. Winter shutdown is scheduled from Nov 2, 2002 to May 1, 2003. Contract Number 1, a City of Lebanon, NH contract for similar type work in an adjacent area to Contract #2, is ongoing with completion scheduled for late fall 2002. The purpose of the work is to replace combined sewer overflow pipes with separ ate sewer and storm pipes to be in compliance with an EPA Administrative Order. Other work to be accomplished includes drainage improvements to include granite curbing and underdrains, replacement of water supply pipes, construction of concrete and block r etaining walls, sidewalk replacement/new sidewalk construction, road paving and.other work as indicated in the plans and specifications. The work area consists of portions of Water Street, Spring Street, South Street, Abbott Street, Chestnut Street, Lewis Court, College Street, Calvin Court and Perley Avenue in the City of Lebanon, NH. The total length of road surface amounts to about one and one-half miles. It should be noted that more than 50% of this residential area is extremely hilly and that some bla sting and dewatering will be required. Some of the work will be required to be performed at night to accommodate businesses located in one small area of the work. This solicitation will be issued on a unrestricted basis. Soliciation will be made available via the internet on or about May 7, 2002. No paper copies of the solicitation or amendments will be available. Prospective bidders, subcontractors, and plan rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to recieve the solicita tion. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil as well as by the media by which this solicitation will be made available. Amendments, if any, to this solicitation will be made available at this Internet sit e. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests will be accepted. Thos registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District.
