Description

This is combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for one dry storage container 16 feet wide by 40 feet long that is constructed by bolting two 8 foot by 40 foot steel storage units together. Storage unit will be insulated on all walls and ceiling and be equipped with heaters, ventilation fans, lights, and freestanding shelves. Vendor will deliver the storage unit in two halves and is responsible for off loading them, bolting the two halves together and completing final setup. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 02WRQQ0058 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235910 - Storage Tanks. Proposals are due in this office Friday May 10, 2002. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offerer whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the government.
