Description
Ballistic Window Replacement, Federal Building & U.S.Courthouse, 517 E. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53202. This project involves the replacement of 11 windows and frames with new ballistic windows. The new windows and frames shall maintain the existing sight lines, and in keeping with the historic nature of the facility. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with a size standard of $28.5 million. The estimated range of the project is between $150,000 to $300, 000. The completion time for the lump sum offer is 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP) date. The liquidated damages are $80.00 per calendar day of delay. Estimated Request for Proposal (RFP) release date is tentatively scheduled on or about May 6, 2002. This procurement is set-aside for small businesses. Women-owned, Small Disadvantaged, Veteran-owned, and HUBZone Businesses are encouraged to submit an offer. Specification and detailed requirements will be furnished with the solicitation and will be forwarded via Compact Disc (CD) to all interested parties, by mail request only. No telephonic, electronic mail, or facsimile requests will be honored. Mail all requests to the attention of Latisha V. Williams, Contract Specialist, U.S. General Services Administration, Property Management Division, Contract Support Services Branch, 230 South Dearborn Street, Room 3324, DPN 33-3, Chicago, IL. 60604. The subject solicitation includes Sensitive but Unclassified Building (SBU) information. For reasons of security and before release of sensitive but unclassified (SBU) information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offerors. In addition, the following information must be submitted and/or provided by the requester via the spaces provided in the Notice: 1.) Copy of business license. 2.) Company's Dun and Bradstreet number. 3.) Valid Tax Identification Number. 4.) A valid picture state driver's license (for person(s) picking up SBU documents.) The "NOTICE" shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist whose name is cited herein. No e-mail copies of the notice will be accepted: however, facsimiles will be accepted. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released in compact disc form to the requester. Please read the notice carefully as it contains additional requirements and information regarding SBU building information.
