Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to perform construction work located at the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of work includes: realignment of existing sanitary sewer; construction of new sewer lift station which includes below-grade pump station, backup generator and associated controls; construction of discharge force main; and removal of abandoned portion of sanitary sewer, steam infrastructure and parking lot pavement and landscape. Estimated start date June 2002. Period of Performance is sixty (60) calendar days from NTP. The Trust anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price contract. Estimated price range is between $400,000 and $600,000. Government cost estimate shall not be disclosed at any time. Minimum qualifications include: Valid Class A Contractor?s License; Certificate(s) of Insurance; Bonding capacity; 40-hour hazardous waste site operations training for all excavation workers. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. A MANDATORY site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at 9:30 a.m. Meet at Building 1051 Edie Road (near the old Letterman hospital site). Only those contractors attending this mandatory site visit may bid this contract. Complete bid package including plans and specs will be issued at the site visit. Bid Due Date approx. May 31, 2002. DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This procurement is set aside for competition among Small Business concerns qualified under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR Part 121 for NAICS Code 234910 ($28,500,000 average annual receipts) (previously SIC Code 1623). Qualified small businesses (including small disadvantaged businesses and minority- and women-owned small businesses) are strongly encouraged to respond. The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
