- Description
- Phase II of the solicitation is for the animal holding area. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision for the renovations to Building #20 at the Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center of the USDA, Agricultural Research Service, College Station, Texas. The work includes, but is not limited to: 1) General Conditions - mobilization/demobilization, protection measures, supervision, insurance/bonds clean-up, etc. 2) Sitework - Remove existing plywood from existing walls, remove existing windows, remove portion of existing siding, remove existing floor drains, remove existing interior plumbing lines and devices, remove existing electrical power devices, conduit, wiring, remove existing light fixtures, add new sidewalk, add new ramp, 3) Concrete base for lab cabinets, concrete curbs for wall partitions, cast-in-place concrete toppings, concrete finish and curing, 4) Masonry - none (N/A), 5) Metals - miscellaneous steel, anchors, etc., and patch existing metal wall panels, 6) Wood and Plastics - Rough carpentry, FRP Panels on walls, 7) Thermal and Moisture Protection - Wall insulation, ceiling insulation, sealants and caulking, 8) Doors and Windows - new metal door frames, exterior doors, interior doors, door hardware, 9) finishes - rubber base, V.C.T. flooring, metal studs, acoustical tile ceilings, painting and finishes (epoxy), gypsum board on walls, seamless poured epoxy flooring and base, 10) Specialties - sign age per ADA, louvers, fire extinguishers and brackets, 11) Equipment - Laboratory base cabinets w/doors & drawers, laboratory wall cabinets w/doors, laboratory tops and back-splash - stainless steel, 12) Furnishings - None (N/A), 13) Special Construction - None (N/A), 14) Conveying Systems - None (N/A), 15) Mechanical Plumbing - fixtures and fittings, piping, specialties, site utilities, 15) Mechanical Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning - air conditioning units, furnaces, package units, piping, ductwork, exhaust fans, curbs, makeup air fans, ceiling fans, air devices chilled water piping, hot water piping, evaporative coolers, fire dampers, controls, testing and balancing, 16) Electrical - sitework, service, switchgear (distribution & panels), feeder, conduit, branch circuit conduit, communication conduit, electrical devices, starters and disconnects, interior and exterior lighting fixtures, clock systems, communication systems, fire alarm system. All requests for solicitation package must reference to IFB #4-7MN1-02 and contact person name above. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The anticipated IFB issue date is May 06, 2002, with opening date 30 days later.
