Description
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) intends to negotiate with the Karko Engineering to repair NHTSA loadcell barrier. NHTSA requires that the broken 12 loadcells be replaced and 2 additional spare loadcells be purchased to help avoid additional failures in the future. Additional, there are numerous broken screws in the aluminum mounting blocks, it is desired to have the blocks repaired, if possible. The entire unit, including the new loadcells shall be reassembled with the necessary cabling to support New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) testing. Interested firms must identify their capability to respond to work requirements listed above. Written response must include detailed information relating to the specific requirement above along with professional qualification and relevant expertise to perform the requirement as specified. Expression of interest without sufficient detail to permit evaluation of capabilities will not be considered. Oral expressions of interest will not be considered. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations nor is a Request-for-Quotations document currently available. It is anticipated that a Fixed - Price Type Contract will be awarded for this effort. The period of performance is for nine months from effective day of award. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive simplified acquisitions. In the absence of responses from interested firms demonstrating their capability, NHTSA intends to request a quotation from Karko Engineering on a noncompetitive basis for the work described. Responses must be received by the listed procuring office within 15 calendar days from date of publication of the notice. ****
