Description
?Sources Sought Synopsis.? The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Code 4.5.10.3, St. Inigoes, MD is seeking eligible small businesses capable of delivering 505 Client Personal Computers (PCs), 175 Standalone PCs, 75 Internet PCs, 174 Servers, 8 Hub Servers, 117 High Speed Laser Printers, 36 High end Color Printers, 178 Laser Printers, 87 Network Color Inkjet Printers, 223 Color Inkjet Printers, 90 Scanners, and Software on a firm fixed-price contract. Delivery schedule is excelled as follows: The first 35 client PCs, 85 standalone PCs, 3 Internet PCs, 20 servers, 77 laser printers, 10 network color printers, 10 inkjet color printers and 16 high-end color printer must be delivered to FAS Washington D.C. Headquarters within 21 days of the award. The balance of the equipment is to be delivered to the USDA specified locations starting no later than 60 days after award and completed within 100 days. NOTE: All PCs, Servers and Software will be delivered to FAS Washington DC address below. Printers and Scanners will be delivered according to Attachment 2 (FAS address list). Based on review of industry responses to this sources sought synopsis, the Government will decide whether it is appropriate to offer this requirement as a 100% small business set aside. This office anticipates awarding a contract for this equipment no later than 07 May, 2002. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small businesses prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP). The government is not obligated to and will not pay for information received as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested small businesses submit a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to deliver these items. This documentation shall address, as a minimum, the following: (1) prior/current corporate experience in performing efforts of similar size and scope within the last three years including contract number, organization supported, indication of whether a prime or subcontractor, contract value, Government point of contact and current telephone number, and a brief description of how the contract referenced ensures the timely delivery, repair or replace and support required by the Statement of Specification. Clearly define overseas shipment and delivery process including customs handling plan. Clearly identified technical (includes warranty) and shipping points of contact. Clearly define process for handling dead-on-arrival and/or damaged shipments.
