THIS IS A BRAND NAME ONLY, NO SUBSTITUTION. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offers sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to the Contracting Office, USMC, Post Office Box 1609, Oceanside, CA 92055. Federal Express should be sent to Contracting Of fice, Bldg. 22180, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055. All others not sent through the U.S. Postal Service will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried offers must be delivered to Building 22180, Contracting Office, Camp Pendleton, CA. Direct delivery of offers is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Offers may also be submitted via facsimile number (760) 725-8445 or (760) 725-4346, Attn: Pok-Su Determan. Facsimile proposals are subject to the same rules as paper proposals. Proposers bear the burden of ensuring that proposals (and any authorized modifications) reach the designated office on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmission to be completed. All pages of the proposal must reach the office before the deadline specified in this notice. Pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The proposer bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. Any facsimile transmission must clearly state the solicitation number and the name of the Contracting Officer on the first page to ensure proper receipt. This purchase will be done under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 3 MAY 2002.
