Description

Synopsis: Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for DTFH71-01-B-00025, Project PRA-NATR 3Q6,R11,U3, in Jefferson, Claiborne, and Hinds Counties, Mississippi. The project consists of 6 inches full depth reclamation (foamed asphalt) and 2.5 inches overlay, full depth pavement reconstruction and 2inches mill and overlay and other miscellaneous work. This work involves approximately 38.7 miles of work from MP 30 (SR 552) to MP 37 (US61), from MP 59 (Reganton Road) to MP 87 (I-20), MP 11 and MP 106. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be issued on or about May 13, 2002. Bids will be due on or about June 13, 2002. It is strongly recommended that requests for bid documents be received 7 calendar days before bid opening to ensure receipt of requested materials. Requests for 'faxing' or overnight mailing will not be accepted. ATTENTION: Minority, Womenowned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's ShortTerm Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at the prime rate.
