- Description
- The Missile Defense Agency is exploring concepts to design, build, and demonstrate autonomous stratospheric airships carrying diverse payloads for ballistic missile defense surveillance, tracking, discrimination, and possible weapon basing. The MDA is requesting information on corporate capabilities and experience in this area. White papers, which should contain the experience and capabilities of the responding business concern and its team members, must be received no later than 30 days after publication of this announcement. Questions concerning this RFI may be submitted no later than 14 days after publication of this announcement. White papers and questions should be submitted (in MS Word format) to Albert Dainton at albert.dainton-contractor@mda.osd.mil. One-on-one or small group discussions may be scheduled during the week of 13 May 2002 to respond to written questions. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only. Responses to this notice do not constitute offers and cannot be used to form binding contracts. Any procurement in this area, if it occurs, will be conducted under a subsequent solicitation announcement or Broad Agency Announcement.
