- Description
- The U.S. Special Operations Command proposes to acquire the production and installation of 50 ea. color weather upgrade kits for the AN/APQ-174B MMR installed in the MH-47E and MH-60K Special Operations Aircraft. The period of performance is estimated to be 26 months from the date of contract award. Upon successful completion of an Acceptance Test, the contractor will ship the modified units to the L-CCS Warehouse (BSAS), 7281 Nightstalker Way, Fort Campbell, KY. The Government intends to award a contract on a sole-source basis to Raytheon Company, 2501 West University, McKinney, TX. Raytheon is the sole manufacturer of the AN/APQ-174B MMR. Raytheon retains all proporietary data required to perform the efforts. Interested sources identified by this synopsis will be given due consideration as required by law; however, no competition is expected. It is anticipated that a written solicitation will be issued in August 2002, and will be posted at this site as well as the Interagency Business Opportunities Page (IBOP).
