Description
The Division of Acquisition Management has a requirement for the Office of Women?s Health/Office of Public Health and Science to reduce domestic violence against women and girls in North Minneapolis by promoting healthy adolescent relationships through education, training and advocacy. The Contractor shall work to promote healthy adolescent relationships and prevent violence against women and girls. More specifically, the Contractor shall provide training and education materials, developed specifically for African American teens, and shall provide Peer Educator training focused on the following: 1) The elements of healthy intimate relationships; 2) Effective dialogue with those concerned about abuse issues in their lives; 3) Domestic violence resources and referral; 4) Skills for youth to get out of violent situations; 5) Identifying ways that youth could intervene with family and friends who are in violent relationships. In addition, the Contractor shall provide training to highs school faculty and staff as well as Pilot City Health Center Community Center of Excellence in Women?s Health (PCHC CCOE) providers and staff on issues including: 1) Dating violence and family violence; 2) Routine screening tools used to help detect intimate partner violence; 3) Effective dialogue with those concerned about abuse issues in their lives; 4) Domestic resources and referral. This effort will take the collaboration of two (2) National Centers of Excellence in Women?s Health Centers and one (1) National Community Center of Excellence in Women?s Health Center. They are: University of Wisconsin, Madison; Magee Women?s Hospital; and Hennepin County Department of Primary Care. The Government intends to make Three (3) one-year awards utilizing, FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the three (3) sources above, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify, in writing, their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
