- Description
- The Division of Acquisition Management has a requirement for the Office of Women?s Health/Office of Public Health and Science to reduce domestic violence against women and girls in rural settings through Provider Education and Awareness; Development of Hospital Based Leadership; and Outreach to Young Women and Girls. The Contractor shall: 1) Develop a CME program for all primary care providers. The Contractor shall also present the program as part of the medical in-service programs supported by the two community hospitals in the Northeastern Vermont region and administered by the Northeastern Vermont AHEC; 2) Work with the two community hospitals within its region to establish domestic violence polices, education programs and institution-wide awareness programs and; 3) Develop several educational modules based on the multi-media materials and workshops that have been developed as part of the MCP Hahnemann University National Center of Excellence in Women?s Health ?Real Women Project.? The Contractor shall utilize educational venues in its catchment area to introduce these programs on domestic violence and self-esteem in women and girls to the young women and girls within the area. This effort will take the collaboration of two (2) National Centers of Excellence in Women?s Health Centers and one (1) National Community Center of Excellence in Women?s Health Center. They are: Indiana University; MCP Hahnemann University and; Northeast Vermont Area Health Education Center. The Government intends to make Three (3) one-year awards utilizing, FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only the three (3) sources above, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested persons may identify, in writing, their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
