- 66-TITLE: BAYER QUANTIPLEX 340 HIV INSTRUMENTATION and ASSAYS FOR (bDNA) The VA Medical Center at 1201 NW 16th Street, Miami, Florida 33125 intends to negotiate a sole source firm price contract with Bayer Diagnostics of Norward, Ma to provide a Bayer Quantiplex 340 HIV Instrument System and accessories, HIV-RNA 3.0 (bDNA) Quantitation assays on a cost per test basis. The period of performance for this contract period will be from date of award until September 30, 2002 with (2) two, (1) one year renewal options. This commercial item procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
