Description

NA PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The Iowa National Guard wishes to contract for the KC-135 Parking Apron/Hydrant Refueling for the Iowa Air National Guard, Sioux City, Iowa. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes is 1541 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233310, with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. The work includes, but is not limited to, all materials, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workmanlike manner, the work required for the combined construction, including general, mechanical, and electrical work, for the KC-135 Aircraft Parking Apron/Hydrant Refueling System. The work consists of installing a new JP-8 storage tank, a new pump house addition, a new underground piping system to the existing aircraft parking ramp, and expansion of the existing aircraft parking ramp. The estimated construction period is 450 days. The magnitude of construction is between $ 10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The Invitation For Bid (IFB) Packet will be issued under solicitation number DAHA13-02-B-0003. Solicitations will be issued on or about 14 May 2002, with the bid opening on or about 18 June 2002, 10:30 A.M. (local time), at the 185FW/DE, Base Civil Engineer?s Office, Sioux City Air National Guard Base, 2920 Headquarters Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa. A pre-bid conference will be held on or a bout 29 May 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the 185th FW/DE. All bidders should plan to attend. The anticipated award date is 21 June 2002. Specifications and plans will be available by contacting USPFO-PC, Camp Dodge, 7700 NW Beaver Drive, Johnston, Iowa, 50131-1902, Attn: Brenda McKnight. Requests for specifications and plans must be submitted in writing no later than 29 May 2002. The cost of the plans and specifications is $120.00 and is non-refundable. All checks must be made payable to the order of DFAS-Limestone. The specifications and plans may be viewed at the USPFO-IA or at the 185TH FW/D E. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by USPFO-PC.
