- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, services, supervision and all other incidentals to remove and dispose of old built-up roofing and install new built-up roofing on seven buildings on the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. All seven buildings are located between mileposts 364 and 386 on the Parkway in Wayne, Lawrence and Lewis counties, Tennessee. New built-up roofing system shall be equal to Johns Manville Specification No. 4 GNS, which has been used as a basis for the project specification. Four of the buildings are approximately 250sf roof area each; the remaining three buildings are approximately 420sf roof area each. In addition, four of the buildings contain asbestos fibers in regulated amounts. The removal and disposal of the old built-up roofing must be in accordance with the EPA Regulations of the State of Tennessee. Work shall be concluded within 60 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. NAICS code for this project is 235610. Procurement is being conducted as a Request for Quotations under the full and open competition procedures of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Solicitation package will be available on or about May 15, 2002. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. RFQ documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF formats. Paper copies of this solicitation will be made available upon request.
