- Description
- MSC intends to issue a solicitation for Shipboard Security Modules (SSM), which will integrate and automate the following contractor furnished components: Closed Circuit TV; Intrusion Detection Systems; Audible Warning Systems; and Hull Perimeter Lighting activation. The control of the SSM shall be via Alarm and Monitoring Activation Systems. The prospective contractor will be providing all labor, including design and integration, materials, equipment and components in order to provide, install and integrate the various security systems mentioned above into a standardized modular equipment rack. SSMs will be placed aboard MSC vessels (appx. 120) over an estimated three to four year period. A draft Statement Of Work (SOW) is available by contacting the POC directly. MSC requests prospective contractors to submit questions, comments, and suggested improvements on the draft SOW. Additional comments regarding contract type and any commercial practices, terms and/or conditions that could be incorporated are welcome. Request comments by 6 May 02. Funding is not presently available for this procurement.
