Description
Sources Sought. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF RFP ISSUANCE. The Naval Air Systems Command is interested in identifying potential sources of wireless internal communication systems deployable aboard US Naval and Marine Corps fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. Currently, the Navy uses ?long cords? for aircrew communication in the aft portion of aircraft that have been identified as a potential safety hazard. The Navy intends on using the information provided to determine technical alternative solutions available. Respondents are encouraged to submit a summary of the proposed concept that identifies wireless system capabilities, technical approach, experience with wireless communication systems, possible commercial applications (if any), and anticipated availability (if additional development is required). Technical white papers, not to exceed 5 pages, may also be submitted. Interested sources should provide business size, cage code, phone number, email and point of contact via email and/or telephone. Reasonable questions, not excessive in length, will be answered if submitted to the point of contact at the above mailing or email address. If submitting questions electronically, send to both addresses as listed below. Questions and responses to questions will be posted under the Business and Solicitations heading of the NAVAIR home page (www.navair.navy.mil). Responses will not be sent to individual email addresses, however all questions should include an internet email and post office address to be used only in the event of Internet problems.
