Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a contract for manufacture and delivery of Fuel Cell Repair Systems, Quantity of eight (8), P/N NF35-1. The NF35-1 consists of the NF20-1, a cell purging oxygen/vapor/toxic levels and NF45-1, a ventilation system kit, which provides smaller diameter ducing, adapters, a blower and a storage cart to be used on the V-22 aircraft. The fuel system configuration is divided into two systems (one each for each engine), that operate independently. The separate systems have cross fed and transfer capability and are single point pressure fueled as on system. System capacity is 7850 lbs. Approximately 1155 gallons of JP-5 jet fuel. Each of two fuel systems contains an engine feed tank. Forward and aft sponson tanks, suction transfer pump, pressure-refueling components cross feed valve, transfer valves, tank drain valves and fuel jettison valve. Provisions are provided for four (4) auxiliary fuel tanks in the outboard position of the left and right wing. All internal tanks are crash resistant and are impact tested to withstand a 65-foot drop. The wing tanks are partially self-sealing with the bottom, inboard wall, and lower one third protected. The feed tanks installed in the left and right outboard wings are located between WS 249.30 and WS 290.84. The wing auxiliary tanks installed in the left and right outboard wing are located between WS 125.30, WS 156.30 and WS 187.30l, WS 218.30 and WS 249.30. When fuel maintenance requires removal and/or replacement of the fuel tank interior components, or of the tank bladder, it will be necessary for personnel to enter the fuel tank and/or fuel tank cavity of the wing or sponson to accomplish necessary maintenance actions. Prior to fuel tank maintenance, safety requirements must be adhered to. All Fuel Cell Repair Systems are to be shipped FOB Destination within 210 ARO to Lakehurst, NJ. In addition, the packing/packaging will be best commercial practice. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract.
