Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for 50% Sodium-Sulfated Castor Oil, BEP Stock Item Number (s) 2A000541 and 2A00541A, in accordance with BEP Specification number C:COS-3E, dated March 15, 2002. This material shall be suitable for use as an ingredient in water based wiping solution for currency and postage stamp printing presses at the Bureau's facility in Washington, D.C. A Small Business Set-Aside solicitation is planned. The applicable NAICS(Formerly SIC) code is 325613 and the size standard of 500 employees, see FAR 19.102. A Fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract is anticipated encompassing a base period of twelve months with four (4) twelve month option periods. Estimated quantities for the base period is 147,600 gallons, with a minimum of 36,930 gallons and a maximum of 192,000 gallons. The estimated quantity for Option Period I is 154,900 gallons, with a minimum of 38,730 gallons and a maximum of 201,500 gallons. The estimated quantity for Option Period II is 162,600 gallons, with a minimum for 40,630 gallons and a maximum of 211,500 gallons. The estimated quantity for Option Period III is 170,700 gallons, with a minimum for 42,730 gallons and a maximum of 222,000 gallons. The estimated quantity for Option Period IV is 179,100 gallons, with a minimum for 44,830 gallons and a maximum of 233,000 gallons. This procurement will be negotiated and awarded according to the procedures set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 15. The source selection decision will be based upon overall best value to the BEP, price non-price factors considered. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued on or before June 3, 2002. The BEP is posting this announcement, as well as the final solicitation on GSA's Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Internet site at: (http://www.eps.gov).
