Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for proper installation of government furnished playground equipment at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). The equipment will be installed at separate playground locations within the Coast Guard family-owned housing areas. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Surface preparation, transporting from on-site storage & proper installation of Government-furnished playground equipment, furnish & install border material and playground protective surface, furnish & spread to uniform height shredded virgin wood ground cover. Contractor must be certified by the National Playground Safety Institute, provide a copy of certificate with the quote. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Anticipated awarded contract will be a Firm, Fixed-Price Contract consisting of a 60-day performance period. Solicitation information will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website on or about 13 May 2002, with offers due 30 days after RFQ is posted. Solicitations will only be available via the Internet at the following site: http://www/fedbizopps.gov. Telephone or written requests for this solicitation WILL NOT be honored. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award (see Internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 23499, with a small business size standard of $28.5 million.
