- Description
- The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal intends to acquire under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source, hardware and software from National Center for Physical Acoustics (NCPA) at the University of Mississippi. The nature of this action is the procurement of unique hardware and software solutions which have resulted from recent research dedicated to the problem of solving performance degradation of acoustic surveillance systems in realistic noise and wind conditions on the battlefield. The solutions sought are at a maturity level that they can be applied now in various acoustic surveillance systems which are in critical stages of development. These hardware and software solutions for noise alleviation/abatement address key requirements in the Acoustic Technologies STO and Raptor System ORD. Key to the success of integrating these noise abatement solutions is the aggressive use of world unique facilities and accompanying novel test strategies which will allow performance upgrades in a controlled test environment without requiring years of performance testing in the field, which has already proven to be an ineffective and inefficient way to find a robust solution. A task order contract is contemplated, with a dollar ceiling of 10M and duration of 5 years. Interested companies are requested to submit a capabilities statement by Electronic Commerce (EC) to Donna Apgar (973)724-3271 dapgar@pica.army.mil and Robert McMinn (973) 724-3504 rmcminn@pica.army.mil which should address, at a minimum, the items delineated under the note number indicated below. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this market survey. This notice is for information planning purposes only, does not constitute an RFP, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. See Numbered Notes 22. 22,25,26
