- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being request ed and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DAAE20-02-T-0276 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-06, effective 4 Apr 2002. Any amendments to this solicitation will be issued through FedBizOpps. This action will result in a FFP contract utilizing simplified commercial acquisition procedures under Full and Open Competition. The NAICS code that applies is 337214. This solicitation contains provisions for ?Brand Name or Equal? IAW FAR 11.107 and 52.211-6. Offerors shall provide Storage Cabinets that are Brand Name or Equal to Stanley Vidmar?s Storage Cabinets, Part Numbers MPN 175XLDR5891ZJ a nd MPN 175XLDR5892ZJ. For your information, Stanley Vidmar?s CAGE code is 34004. Offerors shall clearly identify the item being offered by brand name, if any, and make, part number, or model number. The offeror shall include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, catalogs, brochures, or other manufacturing information that fully describes the item. The offeror shall clearly describe any modifications the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an ?equal? product, the offeror shall provide the brand name referenced in the solicitation. Two types of Storage Cabinets are required under this solicitation. Item 1: CLIN 0001, Quantity: 28 ea, Storage Cabinet, model number MPN 175XLDR5891ZJ or equal. This cabinet contains five drawers and forty compartments. The Stanley Vidmar drawer part numb ers are: one each XL25MR, three each XL35MR, and one each XL45MR. Item 2: CLIN 0002, Quantity: 28 ea, Storage Cabinet, model number MPN 175XLDR5892ZJ or equal. This cabinet contains five drawers and thirty six compartments. The Stanley Vidmar drawer part n umbers are: one each XL20MR, one each XL25MR, one each XL30MR, one each XL40MR, and one each XL60MR. Both cabinets are 45 inches wide x 34.9 inches high (with top) x 21 3/8 inches deep. The cabinets shall include a hardwood top, a hinge lock bar.mrs, and shall be beige or tan, or similar light color. FOB is destination to Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL 61299. The required delivery date is on or before 27 Jun 02. Preservation, packing, packaging, and marking shall be IAW customary commercial practices. To be considered for award, offers of ?equal? products, including equal products of the brand name manufacturer, must meet the physical (size), functional, or performance characteristics of the brand name part numbers described in items 1 and 2 above. All items shall be covered by a warranty that meets, or exceeds, the warranty provided by the brand name manufacturers for items 1 and 2.
