- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to procure a ruggedized rack-mounted, VME64x Chassis on a competitive basis. This will be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a minimum quantity of two units and a maximum of 30 units. The ordering period shall be through 31 December 2005. Delivery of the first two units is to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division by 04 November 2002. Each unit shall be an 18 slot rugged VME64 Extension (VME64x) chassis with internal power supply, and peripheral bay capable of holding up to 4 half-height 5.25" form factor Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) peripheral devices. The unit shall be Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or a modification to an existing COTS rugged VME chassis designed for airborne, vehicle, shelter, and shipboard applications. The critical technical requirements of the ruggedized chassis are as follows: Size - 15.75Hx19Wx26D maximum dimensions; Weight - No greater than 55 pounds; Card Cage - VME 64X Bus architecture, No P0 Connector, 18 card slot, 6Ux160mm card size, VME-64X Injector/Extractor Hardware, Auto bus jumper backplane, shock isolated; Power Supply - Shock isolated Mounting within chassis: +5 vdc 60 Amps; +3.3 vdc 30 Amps; +12 vdc 25 Amps; -12 vdc 12.5Amps; +28 vdc 3.6 Amps; Input Power - 110-240 Vac, 47 Hz to 440 Hz, auto sensing; Peripheral Access - Peripheral drive bay access for 4 each 5.25 drive form factor SCSI disk drives, Minimum 9" deep; Cooling - Forced Ambient Air, Front to rear airflow, 300 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) air flow minimum; I/O Connections - Rear panel connections; EMI Susceptibility and Emissions - Compliance with MID-STD-461D; Shock and Vibration - MIL-STD-810E. A detailed performance specification will be provided with the solicitation that will be posted on or about 03 May 2002 at the 2.0 Contracts Competency homepage at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. The solicitation will close 17 May 2002. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5).
