- Description
- PERFORM A SINGLE YEAR CONTRACT FOR THE AERIAL APPLICATION OF THE GYPSY MOTH MATING DISRUPTANT PHEROMONE FLAKES. The Solicitation will be available approximately February 15, 2002. FBO (Federal Business Opportunities) is the preferred method of obtaining the solicitation, however, we can provide you a copy of the solicitation if necessary. A single award on this contract for approximately 500,000 application acres and 200,000 communication/safety acres will be made to that Contractor exhibiting an operational dispersal system meeting the requirements of the specifications at a fair and reasonable price to the Government. In addition, a small number of acres; i.e., approximately 2,000, have been set-aside for any dispersal systems not meeting the operational requirements but illustrating potential in this arena, for testing purposes. All elements of this contract will be evaluated and awarded on the Best Value basis and will require submission of Technical and Price proposals as discussed in Sections L and M of the Solicitation. A pre-proposal teleconference is currently scheduled for March 5, 2002, at 10:00 AM, Eastern Time.
