Description

LEASE/RENTAL ONE (1) 10-TON SEMI-TRACTOR TRUCK FOR ONE YEAR. This requirement is unrestricted. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. All line items will be awarded on a single purchase order. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (website: http://ccr2000.com) or by calling and registering prior to receiving award: (888) 352-9333. Contractor/vendor will submit a completed copy of the FAR Part 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items (Apr 2002). Contract Terms and Conditions for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status or Executive Orders for Commercial Items, FAR Part 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition. FAR Part 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment (Aug 1996) is incorporated by reference. Delivery will be quoted as FOB Destination to Little Rock AFB, AR. FAR Part 52.212-1, Instructions of Offerors for Commercial Items, and FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation for Commercial Items, apply to this solicitation and will be used to evaluate items as consistent with below stated description of requirements. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government reserves the right to evaluate technical compliance/delivery capability and make a best value decision. This could result in award to other than the lowest price offer. Commercial business size standard for small business is $18.5 Million or less per year. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 7513 and/or the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 532120. FAR Clauses applying to leased vehicles: 52.208-4, Vehicle Lease Payments; 52.208-5, Condition of Leased Vehicles; 52.208-6, Marking of Leased Vehicles; 52.208-7, Tagging of Leased Vehicles for vehicles leased over l60 days; 52.232-1, Payments. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: Lease/Rental, 10-Ton Semi-Tractor Truck 6X4 DED 45999 without driver for the period of one year (12 months; 1 MAY 02 THRU 1 MAY 03. Quantity: one (1). SUBMISSION OF QUOTE: Quotes must be received no later than by close of business, 29 April 2002, 4:00 PM CST, and may be received by FAX or e-mail to Points of Contracts as listed on this notice not later than this notice?s response date.
