Description
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement for aircraft engine maintenance and logistic services for its C37A Long Range Command and Control Aircraft(LRCCA). The C-37A is a military version of the Gulfstream V aircraft. USCG personnel will perform minor aircraft engine maintenance duties to the C37A, such as preflight, thru flight, post flight, and routine engine-related inspections. The logistical support needed is to provide necessary maintenance, supply and other engineering support for the USCG C-37A Rolls-Royce BR710 engines (with the exception of aircraft?s airframe and equipment, which will be provided by a separate aircraft maintenance contractor) above the minor maintenance duties provided by USCG personnel. The USCG intends to issue a sole source contract to Rolls Royce Canada, Ltd. to fulfill this requirement. There is no formal Request for Proposal (RFP) available. However, any firm capable of providing a full range of engine maintenance specifically for the Rolls Royce BR710 engines may submit proof of its ability to maintain the Rolls-Royce BR710 engine for Coast Guard review for the firm?s ability to meet Coast Guard requirements. The requirements include but are not limited to (1) BR710 Fleet Management Support, (2) BR710 Supply Support, (3) Technical BR710/C-37A Engine Representatives, (4) BR710 Technical Engineering Services, and (5) BR710 Maintenance Support. Generic marketing information or capability to maintain other engines or other aircraft services is not requested and won?t be reviewed. Please submit written capability information to Commandant (G-ACS-4/SP), 2100 Second Street, SW, Washington, DC 20593-0001 or via e-mail to the following Internet address: spalmer@comdt.uscg.mil. Fax and telephone information will not be accepted. No other notice will be published until award is made. The deadline for the submission of proposals is May 8, 2002. The USCG anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price, commercial item contract. The NAICS code for this aircraft support is 488190. The period of performance will be a base year and four option years. See numbered note 22.
